Ram's age is 3 years more than Sita. If 6 years ago Ram's age was 4 times older than Sita. Find their present age?

Let R be Ram's age and S be Sita's age.

As per conditions given in the statement we have two  equations:

R = S + 3  AND  (R - 6) = 4 X (S - 6)

Inputting the value of R from the 1st equation into the 2nd equation will give you S = 7. Once you get S, you can get R = 10

So Ram is 10 years old and Sita is 7 years old.
