Ram's age is 3 years more than Sita. If 6 years ago Ram's age was 4 times older than Sita. Find their present age?

Solve both equations.

$y = \frac{21}{3}$

$\bf y = 7$

Thus,

The present age of Seeta is 7 years.

Step 3:

Find the value of x.

Put the value of y in eq1.

$x - 7 = 3$

$x = 3 + 7$

$\bf x = 10$

Thus,

The present age of Ram and Seeta is 10 and 7 years respectively.
