Find the pressure exerted by a force of 240 N on an area of 30 cm2. Find the answer in SI unit.

Force = 240 N

Si unit of pressure,

  • = N/m²

Now, pressure,

 =  \frac{force}{area}

 =  \frac{240 \: N }{ {0.3m}^{2} }

 =  \frac{240 \:   \N \: }{ \frac{3}{10} {m}^{2} }

  =  \frac{240}{ \frac{3}{10} }

 =  \frac{240 \times 10}{3}

 =  \frac{2400}{3}

= 800 N/m²
