CI = Principal (1 + rate/100)^t - P

1261 = P (1 + 5/100)³ - P

1261 = P (1 + 1/20)³ - P

1261 = P (21/20)³ - P

1261 = P [ 9261/8000- 1 ]

1261 = P 1261/8000

P = 1261 * 8000/1261

P = 8000

Hence principal is 8000.

Answer:

ANSWER IS 8000

Step-by-step explanation:

LET THE PRINCIPLE BE X .

CI=[P(1+R/100)3-1]

1261=[X(1+5/100)3-1]

1261=[X(1+1/20)3-1]

1261=[X(21/20)3-1]

1261=[X(21/20*21/20*21/20)-1]

1261=[X(9261/8000)-1]

1261=[X(9261-8000/8000)]=>1261/8000

X=1261*8000/1261

HERE THE PRINCIPLE IS 8000RS.
