  • Principal is Rs. 12000

Given :

⬤ Simple Interest = Rs. 720

⬤ Rate of Interest = 2%

⬤ Time Taken = 3 years

To Find :

⬤ Principal.

Formula Used :

\begin{gathered}\bf[\:{Simple \: Interest = \dfrac{P \times{R} \times{T}}{100}}\\\end{gathered}\:]

Solution :

According to the Formula :-

S.I = P × R × T/100

720 = P × 2 × 3/100

720 = P × 3/50

720 × 50 = 3P

36000 = 3P

36000/3 = P

12000 = P

Therefore , The Principal is Rs. 12000.

Check :

720 = P × R × T/100

720 = 12000 × 2 × 3/100

720 = 720
