find the principal that will amount to Rupees 2240 at 4% per annum simple interest in 3 years

Answer Let the principal be x

Time = 3 years

Rate of interest = 4%

Amount = Rs.2240

Simple interest = Amount - Principal = 2240-x

Formula :SI = PxRxT
 100
100(2240-x)=12x100(2240−x)=12x

224000-100x=12x224000−100x=12x

224000=112x224000=112x

\frac{224000}{112}=x
112
224000

=x

2000 = x

Hence The principal is Rs.2000

Answer:

\begin{gathered}\green{\therefore{\text{Principal=2000\:rupees}}}\\\end{gathered}

∴Principal=2000rupees

\begin{gathered}\green{\therefore{\text{S.I=240\:rupees}}}\\\end{gathered}

∴S.I=240rupees

Step−by−stepexplanation:

\begin{gathered}\green{ \underline \bold{Given : }} \\ : \implies \text{Time (t)= 3\:years} \\ \\ : \implies \text{Amount(A) = 2240\:rupees} \\ \\ : \implies \text{Rate(r) = 4\%} \\ \\ \red{ \underline \bold{To \: Find: }} \\ : \implies \text{Simple\:interest(S.I) = ?}\\\\ :\implies \text{Amount=?}\end{gathered}

Given:

:⟹Time (t)= 3years

:⟹Amount(A) = 2240rupees

:⟹Rate(r) = 4%

ToFind:

:⟹Simpleinterest(S.I) = ?

:⟹Amount=?

• According to given question :
