(a)We know that

SI = PTR/100

So, if we take the Time, Rate and 100 to our LHS leaving behind P in the RHS we get to the formula,

P = (I * 100)/ T*R

So let's solve.

P = (192*100)/4*6

P = 19200 / 24

Principal = 800.

Get it??

Now for the second question:

(b) Here we use the same formula as the first one. But the time is given as 20 months. Here, we can convert the 20 months to years and we get 1.6 years

Now,

P = (I * 100)/T*R

P = (20*100)/ 1.6 * 2

P = 2000/3.2 [ Here multiple the denominator and the numerator by 10 so that the denominator is not in decimal form.]

P = 20000 / 32

P = 625

Hope this answer helps you.

Thank you
