principal = x (P)

time = 2 years (T)

we know that,

SI = P*T*R/100

by putting the values,

248 = x*4*2/100

248 = 8x/100

248*100 = 8x

248*100/8 = x (248 goes in 8 times tables, 8*31 = 248)

31*100 = x

3100 = x
