Simple interest (I)= ₹ 375

=>T = 2 and 1/2 year

=>T = 2 1/2 = 5/2 years

We know that

Simple Interest = PTR/100

=>I = PTR/100

=>PTR = 100 × I

=>P = (100× I)/TR

On Substituting the values in the above formula

=>P = (100×375)/[(5/2)×6]

=>P = 37500/(5×3)

=>P = 37500/15

=>P = 2500

Therefore, Principle = ₹ 2500
