n(S)=45

a) a common multiple of 2 and 3

Let the event be A

A={2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,30,32,34,36,38,40,42,44,9,15,21,27,33,39,45}

n(A)=29

P(A)=n(A)/n(S)

=29/45

b) a multiple of 45

Let the event be B

B={1,3,5,9,15,45}

n(B)=6

P(B)=n(B)/n(S)

=6/45

c) prime number between 41 and 50

Let the event be C

C={41,43}

n(C)=2

P(C)=n(C)/n(S)

= 2/45

Therefore,

P(A)=29/45

P(B)=6/45

P(C)=2/45
