Find the probability of drawing a card from a well shuffled pack such that the drawn card is either a king or a queen

srinjoydora15: total 52 cards.....if we take 1 king and 1 queen from spade...then from club...then from diamond followed by heart...then total will be 2×4=8....so favourable outcomes/total outcomes....i.e....8/52...which is 2/13
Piyushzawar: p(e)=8/52 = 2/13

\sf{Total \ outcomes = 52}

\sf{Favourable \ outcomes \ of \ getting \ a \ king \ or \ queen}
\sf{= 4 + 4 = 8}

\sf{P ( x ) = {\dfrac{Favourable \ outcomes}{Total \ outcomes}}}

\sf{P ( getting \ a \ king \ or \ queen ) = {\dfrac{8}{52}} =} {\boxed{\sf{\red{ {\dfrac{2}{13}}}}}}

HEY YOUR ANSWER IS:-

Total number of cars in a card pack = 52

So total possible outcomes = 52

There are four king in a pack of card and four Queens in a pack of card

Number of king cards + number of Queen cards = 4+4=8

Now , let P(E) be the probability of drawing a card which is either a queen or King from a well shuffled pack of 52 card ,

So ,

P(E) = number of possible outcomes/ total number of outcomes

P(E) = 8/52 = 2/13 .

I hope you have got your answer .....
