Answer:

For simplicity assume that a month is equally likely to start with any particular day.

So the probability that a month will start with Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday are all 1/7.

If it starts with Sunday then Sundays are 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

If it starts with Monday then Sundays are 7, 14, 21, 28

If it starts with Tuesday then Sundays are 6, 13, 20, 27

If it starts with Wednesday then Sundays are 5, 12, 19, 26

If it starts with Thursday then Sundays are 4, 11, 18, 25

If it starts with Friday then Sundays are 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

If it starts with Saturday then Sundays are 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

So 5 Sundays are possible when the month starts with Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Hence the probability is 3/7.
