No. of prime numbers in a regular dice = 3

Total no. of 'numbers' present = 6

We know, P(E) = (No. of favourable outcomes - of E)/(Total no. of outcomes) {Empirical probability}

∴ P(Prime No.) = 3/6 = 0.5

More:-

The concept of probability was introduced by Pierre de Fermat along with Blaise Pascal.

  • If P(E) is a probability of a certain event, then P(E^C) or P( \overline{E}) will be known as complementary event.
  •  P(E) + P(E^C) = unity .
