To Find :- The probability of selecting an even number from the cards numbered from 1 to 100.

Solution :-

→ Total number of cards = From 1 to 100 = 100

So,

→ Total number of possible outcomes = 100

now,

→ Total number of even numbered cards = 100/2 = 50

{ There are 50 odd numbers and 50 even numbers from 1 to 100. }

then,

→ Total number of favourable outcomes = 50

therefore,

→ Required probability = Total number of favourable outcomes / Total number of possible outcomes

→ Required probability = 50/100

→ Required probability = 1/2 (Ans.)

Hence, the probability of selecting an even number from the cards numbered from 1 to 100 is equal to 1/2 .
