Given : a four digit number comprising the digits 2,5,6 and 7 would be divisible by 4​

To Find : probability

Solution:

A number is divisible by 4 if last two digits are divisible by 4

number comprising the digits 2,5,6 and 7

Assuming no repetition of digit

possible numbers = ⁴P₄ = 4!  = 24

Numbers ending with 52 , 72 , 56 , 76 are divisible by 4         ( 4 ways)

remaining 2 digit in each case can be arranged in 2 ways

Hence total number divisible by 4

= 2 * 4

= 8

Probability  that a four digit number comprising the digits 2,5,6 and 7 would be divisible by 4 = 8/24

= 1/3
