find the probability that a month has 5 sundays in February month

in a leap year february contains 29 days. 28days + 1 extra days

i.e 4 weeks and one extra day. four weeks mean four sundays will be there . in order to have five sundays ,if the extra day i.e the 29th day becomes sunday then our purpose will be fulfilled.

this one extra day can be monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday , saturday and sunday i.e total no of elements in sample space = 7

so probability of getting sunday= 1/7

so prob of getting five sundays in the month of feb of a leap year = 1/7
