  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

          Given data:- a=2,b=4.

          To find:- Value of above expression -2 a\left(a b+b^{2}\right).

          Solution:-

  • To solve the above equation we will follow the BODMAS rule.
  • BODMAS is an order of mathematic operations.
  • BODMAS rule is to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.
  • It stands for,

         B= bracket

         O= order of power or rules

         D= division

         M= multiplication

         A= addition

         S= subtraction

   Now put the value a and b  in the given equation we get,

        -2 a(a b+b^{2})\\\Rightarrow -2(2)((2)(4)+4^{2}) \\\Rightarrow -4(8+16)\\\Rightarrow -4(24)\\\Rightarrow -96.

   Hence we will get the value -96.
