 \frac{9}{2}  \times  \frac{ - 7}{4}

Answer

 =  \frac{9 \times ( - 7)}{2 \times 4}

 =   \frac{ - 63}{8}

 - 7 \times \frac{ - 7}{8}

If there is no sign or number out of bracket then the bracket will be simply opened.

if a number can be change to mixed fraction from improper fraction then it is necessary.

Solution:-

Products are: 9/2 × (-7/4)

According to note first point~

 9/2 × ( - 7/4 )

 9/2 × - 7/4

After doing calculations~

 - 63/8

According to note second point ( mixed fraction )~

 -7 ⅞

Answer:-

The product of  9/2 and ( - 7/4 ) = ( - 7 ⅞ )
