Now, substituting

a = -1

b = 2

5a {}^{2} b {}^{3}  - 3a {}^{3} b {}^{2} \\  = 5 \times ( - 1) {}^{2}  \times 2  {}^{3} - 3 \times ( - 1) {}^{3}   \times 2 {}^{2}   \\  = 5 \times 1 \times 8 - 3 \times ( - 1) \times 4 \\  = 40 - ( - 12) \\  = 40 + 12 \\  = 52
