(x+3)(x^{2}+2x-1)

Start by expanding

=x(x^{2}+2x-1) + 3(x^{2}+2x-1)

=x^{3} + 2[tex]x^{2} - x + 3x^{2} + 6x - 3

Collect like terms

=x^{3} + 2[tex]x^{2} + 3x^{2} + 6x - x - 3

=x^{3} + 5x^{2} + 5x - 3
