While we solve decimal try to put decimals proper

0.64 × 0.2 × 0.31

= 0.03968

Here, when we count the number of decimals that is number of numbers after point is five. So count decimals from right to left and put a decimal point

Extra information:

For example,

1.5 × 1.5 = 2.25

  1. Here number of numbers after decimal is 2 so while solving avoid decimals and make it in pure form and solve
  2. Like 15 × 15 = 225
  3. Count number of numbers after decimals, here it is 2
  4. So, answer is 2.25.
  5. We counted two numbers from right and put a decimal point
  6. When we avoid points write 10 raise to negative and when we add decimal we write 10 raise to positive
  7. Example, 12.25 to 1225

Here we have to avoid points

So we should write 1225 × 10 ^-2

⟹ While converting 1225 to 12.25

Here we have to include points

So, we should write 12.25 × 10^2

{Knowledge Booster}:

  1. If we have to make maths strong in case of decimals try to solve more decimal type questions
  2. When we go to higher classes we will face more type of decimal and fraction question so keep a good hold on it
  3. Maths might be difficult but if we try we can make it easy
