Hi there !!

Using the laws of exponents,
which in this case is a^m × a^n = a^m+n,
where, m and n are equal in this case,

we have,

 {5}^{1}  \times  {5}^{1}
Adding the exponents while keeping the base equal,
we have,

 {5}^{1 + 1}
= 5² = 25
