Answer:

product of roots= -2

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all equation should be like that

 2x^2+7x-4=0

if \alpha \: and \beta\: are the roots of Quadratic equation,then use the relation between coefficient of equation,as shown below

product of roots is

 \alpha  \beta  =  \frac{ c}{a}  \\  \\  \alpha  \beta  =  \frac{ - 4}{2}  \\  \\  =  - 2 \\  \\

Hope it helps you.

SOLUTION

We have the equation as 2x^2 +7x-4=0

We use factorization method to find out the roota here

 =  >  {2x}^{2}   + 7x - 4 = 0 \\   =  > 2 {x}^{2}  + 8x - 1x - 4 = 0 \\  =  > 2x(x + 4)  - 1(x + 4) = 0 \\  =  > (x + 4) \:  \: (2x - 1) = 0 \\  =  > x =  - 4 \:  \: or \:  \: x =  \frac{1}{2}

So the product is,

 =  >  \frac{1}{2}  \times  - 4 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{ - 4}{2}  =  - 2

hope it helps ☺️
