ANSWER SOLUTION

Let us multiply the given binomials (2x  2  −5y  2  ) and (x  2  +3y  2  ) as shown below:

(2x^  2  −5y  ^2  )(x ^ 2  +3y+ 2 )

=2x  ^2 (x  ^2  +3y ^ 2  )−5y  ^2 \(x  ^2  +3y^  2 )

=(2x  ^2  ×x  ^2  )+(2x^  2  ×3y  ^2  )−(5y  ^2 ×x  ^2  )−(5y ^ 2  ×3y    )

=2x  ^4 +6x  ^2  y  ^2  −5x  ^2  y  ^2  −15y  ^4

 =2x ^ 4  +(6x  ^2  y  ^2  −5x  2y  ^2  )−15y  4  (Combining like terms)

=2x  ^4  +x  ^2  y  ^2 −15y  ^4

Hence, (2x  ^2  −5y  ^2  )×(x  ^2  +3y  ^2  )=2x  ^4  +x  ^2  y ^2  −15y  ^4
