(x+7y) (x-7y)

......using (a+b) (a-b) = a²-b²

(x)² - (7y)²

- 49y²

Alternate method....

(x+7y) (x-7y)

.... Multiply by opening brackets

- 7xy + 7xy - 49y²

....... - 7xy and + 7xy gets cancelled because of - and + sign

- 49y²
