Hi friends here is your answer :-

In (x+1)(x+2) there is an identity that is :-

(x + a)(x + b) = x^2 + (a + b) x + ab

Now :-

(x+1)(x+2) = x^2 + (1+2)x + 2

               = x^2 + 3x + 2

Therefore, x^2 + 3x + 2 is the answer
