To find -

Find the product of (x⁴ - 3x + 7)( 2x - 6)

Solution -

=> [ x⁴ - 3x + 7 ] [ 2x - 6 ]

=> x⁴ [ 2x - 6 ] - 3x [ 2x - 6 ] + 7 [ 2x - 6 ]

=> { 2x⁵ - 6x⁴ ] - [ 6x² - 18x ] + [ 14x - 42 ]

=> [ 2x⁵ - 6x⁴ - 6x² + 18x + 14x - 42 ] .

This is the required answer.

Additional Information -

( a + b )² = a² + 2ab + b²

( a + b )( a + c ) = a² + a ( b + c ) + bc.

( a - b )( a - c ) = a² - a ( b + c ) + bc

( a - b )( a + c ) = a² + a ( c - b ) - bc .

( a + c)( a - b ) = a² + a ( b - c ) - bc

Answer:

2x^5 - 6x^4 - 6x^2 + 32x - 42

Step-by-step explanation:

( x^4 - 3x + 7 ) ( 2x - 6 )

( x^4 ) ( 2x ) - ( x^4 ) ( 6 ) - ( 3x ) ( 2x ) + ( 3x ) ( 6 ) + ( 7 ) ( 2x ) - ( 7 ) ( 6 )

2x^5 - 6x^4 - 6x^2 + 18x + 14x - 42

2x^5 - 6x^4 - 6x^2 + 32x - 42
