The projection of A= i-2j+k on B= 4I-4j+7k is  19/9

Given that;

A=i-2j+k and B=4i-4j+7k

To find;

Projection of A on B

Solution;

We know that,

projection of vector A on vector B is equal to \frac{A.B}{mod [B]}

projection of vector A on vector B= \frac{4 + 8 + 7}{\sqrt{16 + 16 + 49} } = \frac{19}{9}

Hence projection of vector A on vector B = \frac{19}{9}
