Answer: \frac{8}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:- a=(2i-3j+6k)

            b=(i+2j+2k)

Concept:- Dot product of vectors and magnitude of vectors.

Solution:-

Projection of a on b = \frac{a.b}{mod\ of\ b}

                                 = \frac{(2i-3j+6k).(i+2j+2k)}{\sqrt{1^{2} +2^{2}+2^{2}  } }

                                 = \frac{2-6+12}{\sqrt{9} }

                                = \frac{8}{3}

  • Hence, the required projection is  \frac{8}{3}.
