it is know that , if in a triplet of natural numbers, the square of the biggest number is equal to the sum of the square of the other two numbers , then the three numbers from a pythagorean triplet .

The given set of numbers is (90,40,41)

The biggest number among the given set is 41

9 square = 81 ; 40 square = 1600; 41 square = 1681

Now , 81 + 1600 = 1681

= 9square + 40 square = 41 square

Thus ,(9,40,41) forms a pythagorean triplet
