Answer :- The point lies in Quadrant 4

Explanation :-

As it is given,

A ( 8,-9 )

B ( 2,3 )

and, it divides it internally in ratio of 1:2. Therefore it intersect it to its Mid .

Therefore by Midpoint Formula,

( x1 + x2 ) / 2 , ( y1 + y2 ) /2

( 8 + 2 ) / 2 , ( -9 + 3 ) / 2

10/2 , -6/2

5 , -3

Hence, the point at which the line is interested is ( 5, -3 ). This point lies in Quadrant 4.
