If α,β are the roots of a polynomial then the polynomial is x²-(α+β)x+αβ = 0
Given two roots of the quadratic polynomial ar -3 and 4.
Their sum is(-3+4) 1. (α+β)
Their product is(-3 x 4) -12. (αβ)
Therefore the quadratic polynomial is,
x² - x -12 = 0.
