Find the quadratic polynomial if the sum and products of it's zeros are 4 and 1 respectively​

Answer:

Let the zeroes of the quadratic equation be α and β

sum of the zeroes ( α + β ) = -b/a

( α + β ) = - 4

the product of the zeroes ( α X β ) =c/a

( α X β ) = 1

Let the equation be x^2+( sum of the zeroes )x + ( product of the zeroes )

x^2+ ( α + β ) x + ( α X β )

x^2+(-4)x + 1

x^2 - 4x + 1

this is the required quadratic equation.
