Given :-

Alpha = 2
Beta = -1

Alpha × Beta = 2 × -1 = -2

Alpha + Beta = 2 + (-1) = 2 - 1 = 1

Now,

The required polynomial is :-

p(x) = k[x² - (Alpha + Beta)x + Alpha × Beta]

p(x) = k[x² - (-2)x + (1)]

p(x) = k(x² + 2x + 1)

Put k = 1

p(x) = x² + 2x + 1
