The quadratic enquation is F(x) = X^(2) - x - 2
As the zeroes of the polynomial is 2,-1
•X=2, then X - 2 = 0
•X=-1, then X + 1 = 0
Of these two are the zeroes of the Polynomial as they are making the remainder zero and If the remainder is zero then the X - 2 and X +1 are the factor of F (x) .
F (x) = (X - 2) (X + 1)
(using (X-a) (X-b) = x^(2)+(a+b)x+ab)
F (x) = X^(2) + (-2+1)X + (-2)(1)
F (x) = X^(2) - x - 2
As you can check this by applying F (2) and F (-1)
