=k(x²-8x+12)
here k=1
=x²-8x+12
=x²-2x-6x+12
=x(x-2)-6(x-2)
=(x-2)(x-6)
⇒x-2=0                                    or                             ⇒x-6=0
⇒x=2                                        or                            ⇒x=6
