Quadratic Polynomial =. x^2 - ( Sum of zeroes) x + Product of zeroes

x^2 - 1/2x + (-2)

1/2 { 2x^2 - x -4}

Therefore the quadratic Polynomial for this is ---

2x^2 - x - 4

let l,m be the roots of the polynomial then the quadratic equation is x^2 -(l+m)x+lm=0 so l+m=1/2 and lm=-2 then the equation is 2x^2 -x-4=0
