Find the quadratic polynomial whose zeroes are 1 and -3. Verify the relationship
between the coefficients and zeroes of the polynomial.​

Answer:

given the 2 zeros = 1 and -3

Polynomial = k [x²-[sum]x +product]  [ k is the denominator of the the number given in the bracket ]

     Firstly , we are going to find the sum and product of the zeros .

 Sum of the zeros = 1+[-3]= 1-3= -2

product of the zeros = 1[-3]= -3

We are going to put these values in the formula where we are going to find the polynomial ,

POLYNOMIAL = 1[x²-[-2]x +[-3] ]

           1[ x²+2x-3 ]

Hence , the polynomial so formed is x²+2x-3

The most important thing in this section is that

Sum of the zeros = -b\a

and

product of the zeros = c\a
