Answer:

alpha = 2/3 , beta = -1/4

alpha + beta = 2/3 + (-1/4) = 8-3/12 = 5/12

alpha × beta = 2/3 × (-1/4) = -1/6

as we know that....

the system for quadratic polynomial is

x^2 -(alpha + beta)x + alpha × beta = 0

x^2 -5/12x -1/6 = 0

12x^2 -5x -2/12 = 0

12x^2 -5x -2 = 0

Hence, the required polynomial is 12x^2 -5x -2

hope it helps you
