Answer:  The answer is 5 kgs.

Step-by-step explanation: Let the quantity of rice @ rs 10/kg to be added to 25 kgs of rice @ rs 8/kg be 'h' kgs.

Therefore, total price of the mixture = 10×h + 25×8 = rs (10h+200).

At the time of selling, total quantity = (h+25) kgs.

Since we are selling @ 15/kg, so the selling price of the mixture

= rs 15×(h+25).

Also, we are making a profit of 80%, hence we have

(10h+200)+80\%\times (10h+200)=15(h+25)\\\\\Rightarrow (10h+200)+\dfrac{4}{5}\times (10h+200)=15h+375\\\\\Rightarrow (10h+200)+(8h+160)=15h+375\\\\\Rightarrow18h+360=15h+375\\\\\Rightarrow 3h=15\\\\\Rightarrow h=5.

Thus, the required quantity of rice to be added is 5 kgs.
