Find the quotient and remainder on dividing polynomial x² - 2xy + y² by x - y. ​

quotient: x-y

remainder: 0

since, x²-2xy+y² = (x-y)²

therefore, on dividing (x-y)² by x-y we get quotient x-y and remainder 0

also note that (x-y)²=(x-y)×(x-y)
