Given:

2x² + 13x + 15.

x + 5.

To Find:

The quotient and remainder.

Solution:

Dividing (2x² + 13x + 15) by (x +5).

             2x + 3.

x + 5 Γ 2x² + 13x +15

        - (2x² + 10x)

         =           3x + 15

                   - (3x + 15)

                    =     0

Hence, the quotient is 2x + 3 and the remainder is 0.
