460  ÷ 2    = 230

4600   ÷ 2    = 230

As 46 is even number we divide 46 by 2    = 23

and then add 0 after 46

460   ÷ 2    = 230   one 0 after 46 hence one zero after 23

4600   ÷ 2    = 2300  two 0 after 46 hence two zero after 23

460  ÷ 2    = 230  Quotient 230
