Answer:

We, know that radius is required to find the circumference of any circle.

In this question radius is given in indirect form which can be calculated from its area as:-

Given that area of circle is 144πcm sq.

So,

 \cancel{ \pi }{r}^{2}  = 144  \cancel\pi \\  \\  {r}^{2}  = 144 \\  \\ r = 12cm

So, radius of circle will be 12 cm

Now,

circumference of the circle will be given by

circumference = 2 \pi r \\  \\  = 2 \times  \pi  \times 12 \\  \\  = 24 \pi cm

We can also calculate exact value of circumference by putting value of π as

24 \pi=24 \times \dfrac{22}{7}\\ \\ =66cm

Answer:

Radius = 22.9     ,   Circumference of the circle = 143.94

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a circle = π r² = 144 cm²

                         = 22/7 × r × r = 144 cm²

                         = 22 × r² = 144 × 7

                         = 22 × r² = 1,008

                         = r² = 1,008/22

                         = r² = 45.81

                         = r = 45.81/2

                         = r = 22.9

Radius = 22.9

Circumference of the circle = 2πr

                                              = 2 × 22/7 × 22.9

                                              = 44/7 × 22.9

                                              = 1,007.6/7

                                              = 143.94 cm
