Given :

Area of quadrant = 9.625 cm²

To find :

Radius of circle

Formula used :

Area of circle = π×(radius)²

Solution :

Let - radius of circle = r cm

As we know quadrant of circle means (1/4)th part of a circle, therefore this gives that

➝ Area of quadrant = (1/4)× area of circle

➩ Area of quadrant = (1/4)×(πr²)

➩ 9.625 = (1/4)×πr²

➩ πr² = 9.625 × 4

➩ (22/7)×r² = 38.5

➩ 22r² = 38.5 × 7

➩ 22r² = 269.5

➩ r² = 269.5/22

➩ r² = 12.25

➩ r = √(12.25)

➩ r = ±3.5

[ Note - As r denotes side it cannot be negetive ]

➩ r = 3.5
