GIVEN:

  • Surface area of sphere = 154cm

TO FIND:

  • The radius of sphere = ?

SOLUTION:

Let r be the radius of sphere.

We know that ,

 \sf \: surface \: area \:  = 4\pi {r}^{2}  \\  \\  \sf \: 154 {cm}^{2}  \:  = 4\pi {r}^{2}  \\  \\  \sf \: 154 {cm}^{2}  \:  = 4 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {r}^{2}  \\  \\  \sf \:  {r}^{2}  \:  = 154 \times  \frac{7}{22 \times 4}  {cm}^{2}  \\  \\  \sf \:   {r}^{2}  \:  = 12.25 \\  \sf \: r =  \sqrt{12.25}  \\   \sf \: r \:  = 3.5 \\  \\   \boxed{\sf \: the \: radius \: of \: sphere \:  = 3.5cm}

Given,

r=?

Surface area of sphere=154cm²

Surface area of sphere =4π

154=4×22/7×r²

154×7/22=4×r²

=49/4

r=49/4

r=7/2

r=3.5cm
