Given:

  • Volume of cylinder = 15400cm³
  • Height of cylinder = 25cm

To Find:

  • Radius of base?

Solution:

We have height and volume of a cylinder.

We know that,

  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h

Here,

  • Volume = 15400cm³
  • π = 22/7
  • r = radius of base of cylinder
  • h = height of cylinder = 25cm

Put known values in formula:

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

=> 15400 = 22/7 × r² × 25

=> 15400/25 = 22/7r²

=> 616 = 22/7 r²

=> r² = \dfrac{616\times 7}{22}

=> r² = 28 × 7

=> r² = 196

=> r = √196

=> r = 14

Therefore,

  • Radius of base of cylinder = 14cm
