Range is found by subtracting the largest number by smallest number. The first natural numbers are 1 ,2 ,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. The largest number in the first 10 natural number is 10. Range = 10 – 1 = 9.

Range = Highest value - Lowest value

Here,

Highest value = n

Lowest value = 1

Range = n-1

The range of first n natural numbers is (n-1).
