f(X) = 3x - 4 for all

It will be [ - infinite, infinite]

As you can see, ( and I don't think) that there is any restriction over x (as in the case of square roots)

So, the domain will be free to move from [ - infinite, infinite]

And hence, take limit as x goes to infinite or negative of infinite, y also approaches to the corresponding infinity.

And therefore, the range of this function is also free to move anywhere.
