case1 : when x>=2 ;

f(x) = 1-x+2 = 3-x

therefore,Range = [-∞,1]

case2: when x<=2 ;

f(x) = 1-(-x-2) = 1+x-2 = x-1

therefore,Range = [-∞,1]

Hence, the range of given function is [-∞,1]
