Answer:

Selling price = 1175

Discount = 75

Marked price = 1175+75 = 1250

Discount percent = discount / marked price *100

Therefore 75/1250 *100 = 6 % .

 \maltese \: {\underline {\overline {\green{  \boxed{ \mathfrak{Given  \: ;\: }}}}}}

  • Discount = ₹310
  • Selling price = ₹1550

 \maltese \: {\underline {\overline {\red{  \boxed{  \mathfrak{To  \: Find  \: ;  \:  }}}}}}

  • Discount %

 \maltese \: {\underline {\overline {\blue{  \boxed{ \mathfrak{Solution  \: ; \:  }}}}}}

Let C.P of fan be x.

We know that :-

{ \mathsf{ \underline{ \underline{ \overline{ \overline   {\: \\ S.P  \: =  \: C.P \:  -  \: Discount  \: }}}}}}

So,

 \implies  \rm \: \: 1550 = x \:  - 310

 \implies  \rm \: \: 1550 \:  + 310 = x

 \implies  \: \rm \: 1860 = x

Also, we know that :-

{ \underline {\underline{ \overline {\overline{ \sf{Discount \: \% \:  = \frac{Discount}{ C.P} × 100}}}}}}

So,

\implies \rm \ \frac{310}{1860} \times 100

 \implies \rm \ \frac{1550}{93}

 \implies \rm \: 16.666 \: \%

  • Therefore :

Discount % = 16.67 % (approx)

Formulae Used ;

 { \mathsf{ \underline{ \underline{ \overline{ \overline   {\:  \\ S.P  \: =  \: C.P \:  -  \: Discount  \: }}}}}}

{ \underline {\underline{ \overline {\overline{ \sf{Discount \: \% \:  = \frac{Discount}{ C.P} × 100}}}}}}
